At Noah's Ark Kindakare, every child has the right to be safe, respected and cared for. Keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility: staff, volunteers, parents and visitors.
Our commitments
- We follow the Children Act (Cap. 59) of Uganda and guidance from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
- We check the background and references of everyone who works with children before they start.
- All staff are trained to recognise and report signs of abuse, neglect or harm.
- We have a named Designated Safeguarding Lead. Contact them through the school office on +256782 698327.
Collection of children
Children are only released to parents or to people named as authorised pickups in the admission form. If someone else will collect your child, tell the office in advance. Staff will check identity before releasing a child.
Photos and online safety
- Photos of children are only published with a parent's consent.
- Children's full names are never published next to their photos.
- Visitors and parents may not photograph other people's children at school without permission.
Visitors
All visitors sign in at the gate, wear a visitor badge and are accompanied while on the compound.
